You want to recognize it because the trappings are what make it comfortable, but you don’t want it to get lost under generalities; it is much too precious for that. I could’ve just said I loved the place, but that would’ve been too easy. I decided instead to ban these words: “love, friend, people, family, share,” and “sleep.” It drove me to describe those intimacies until the effect was the same.
